TradeAtlas is a trade data platform that shows who imported what from customs records; its plans start at $2,750 a year. It is good for seeing past shipments. But customs records carry no company names in the EU, do not show buyers who do not import today, and leave who to write to and what to say up to you. Outfound researches each company on its website today, finds the ones that fit with the reason, and sends the first email to the decision-maker in the buyer's language.

Where customs data falls short
It shows yesterday. Records appear weeks or months after the shipment; the buyer may already have a yearly deal with someone else.
No company names in the EU. Data for EU buyers is rebuilt from partner countries' records and shows only part of what a company buys.
It cannot show who could buy tomorrow. Companies that buy from a local wholesaler, or want to add a new line, are not in customs records.
The consignee is often not the buyer. Forwarders, brokers and intermediaries appear instead.
Everyone sees the same list. The biggest importers hear from every supplier using the same platform.
All twelve limits are in customs data vs buyer research.
How Outfound does the same job
You describe your buyer: who sells or uses your product, and in which country.
Each candidate's website is read today. Companies that fit come with the reason and a source link, including ones that do not import today.
The decision-maker is found and the first email written for that company, in the buyer's language, sent after your approval.
The email reaches the inbox. A separate sending domain with SPF, DKIM, DMARC and warm-up comes set up; 98.8% of emails sent on the platform between 25 March and 25 September 2026 were delivered.
One result: Korflame makes outdoor kitchens and barbecues. With Outfound it found customers in Malta, Hong Kong, Greece and Albania and a distributor in Sweden.
When TradeAtlas is the better choice
- You want to see who your competitor sells to, and the target country publishes company-level customs records.
- Shipment volume, dates and ports matter to you. Outfound does not show them.
