When a campaign is paused, the notification says why. Possible reasons and what happens next:
- High bounce rate: the bounce rate over the last 24 hours went above 5% (or several hard bounces came in quickly). It does not resume on its own; check the list and resume it yourself.
- High spam complaints: the complaint rate went above 0.1%. It does not resume on its own.
- DNS record missing or invalid: one of your domain's records broke. It resumes automatically once the record is fixed.
- Daily sending limit reached: it resumes on its own the next day.
- Plan limit reached: your email sending allowance ran out; the notifications show "… paused: sending allowance used up" and the organisation owner gets an email. When the allowance renews in the next period or you upgrade your plan, the campaign resumes on its own within a few minutes; the notifications show "… is sending again" and the owner gets another email.
- End date reached: it does not resume on its own.
- You paused this campaign: you or a teammate paused it.
If the notification only says the system paused the campaign, check your sending domain's status on Sending › Domains; if nothing looks wrong, write to us in the support chat with the campaign name.
