Why did discovery finish before reaching the target?

If the market has few matching buyers, or no contact is found at fitting companies, discovery ends early; allowance follows what is delivered.

A discovery can finish without reaching the target. The most common reasons:

  • A narrow market: the buyer type you want is rare in the chosen market. If the most recently researched companies turn up almost no fitting buyers, Outfound stops searching so you don't spend allowance for nothing.
  • Candidates in the wrong line of business: if the chat says almost none of the companies looked at were in the business you are targeting, narrow the industry rather than loosening the segments.
  • No contact found: some companies fit, but no deliverable decision-maker address is found. The chat shows how many of them had no deliverable contact.

Allowance is used according to the companies delivered; the rest of what was reserved is returned.

What you can do: try the new buyer types the copilot suggests, widen the market (for example neighbouring countries), or use the general inbox option offered for companies without a contact.
